Abortion Myth?
by Frank Joseph

So The Independent Advisory Group on Teenage Pregnancy reported to British Education Secretary Alan Johnson and Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt that infertility resulting from an abortion is a myth? Wow!  How does one combat such an ignorant statement?

Any reputable medical society would have to refute this ridiculous assertion.  The fact is many women have been made sterile by an abortion.

The cervix must be dilated in order for the instruments to be inserted.  This stretches the cervix and many times it is torn and bleeds.  It heals by scar tissue formation. If the uterus is scraped to make sure no parts of the baby are left in, which may cause bleeding and infection, this also causes damage to the endometrium,  which also heals by scar tissue formation.

Now, you have a cervix that is not NORMAL and the endometrium which is not 100% normal. This is why there have been about 50 studies finding that abortions increase the risk of pre-term births in subsequent pregnancies resulting in low birth weights and thus the child is more prone to develop physical and mental problems, including Cerebral Palsy.

When the damage is SEVERE, the odds are high that sterility will ensue and should the woman get pregnant, miscarriages.

This is medicine 101 and can be understood by a ten- year old, but obviously not by experts in the United Kingdom.
