Da Vinci Sequels?
by Joe Prussing

At the risk of offending someone, and in the true spirit of fairness and diversity, please allow me to make the following proposals as sequels to 'The Da Vinci Code.'

How about: 'The Holocaust Myth.' It would certainly stimulate a healthy and much needed dialogue on the subject, bringing together such great minds as Louis Farrakhan, Mahmoud (The president of Iran) Ahmadinejad, David Duke and Al Sharpton. Perhaps the subtitle could read: Mister Hitler - Misunderstood? Hey, you have to have an open mind about these things.

Maybe a musical about Mohammad would be appropriate: 'Jihad! What is it good for?' Was he really a great prophet, or just another misguided warmonger with this thing about pigs and infidels? Hey, it's just a movie, dude. Lighten up! This is America.Remember? Hollywood! We can say whatever we want. What are the terrorists going to do about it- boycott us? Oh well, I guess it's better than blowing up our buildings.

There are other religions we could criticize as well, and we should; but they won't rake in the big bucks like, you know, those Christians do. Hell, they don't even care. Besides, beating up Catholics is all the rage. It's the political correct thing to do, too, next to promoting such noble causes as gay marriage, abortion, and gun control.

We might try a documentary, like Michael Moore's 'Fahrenheit 911,' I suppose, and get nominated for an Oscar; or, perhaps another Oliver Stone masterpiece, like 'JFK'. Conspiracy theories thrive in a vacuum, and they make they make great box office. Who cares if they're not really true? Since when did that ever get in the way of a good story?

Of course, we can do what Jerry Seinfeld did, and create a series about nothing, and insult all the atheists as well.
