Editor: I read with interest your article, "Iraq Exit." Apart from your charitable attitude (to say the least) towards the administration, your analysis appears to be both correct and inescapable. I'm sensing a lot of Republicans and traditional conservatives (no longer identical groups) are plainly fed up with this war. If it goes on too much longer, they're going to persist in asking painful questions; if the chips fall the wrong way and the Democrats take Congress next year, those questions will become accusations in the House Judiciary Committee, and then, well, boom. Editor: Best regards and thank you for the Conservative Battleline and this edition regarding the “Iraq Exit.” Wally Kubon

Editor: I have just read your latest online piece on Iraq.  I think you will be interested in “The Third Option in Iraq" for responsible withdrawal that will be published in the next issue of Middle East Policy, due out by the end of the month.  I have written it in the hope that it might spark people like you to urge this on Congressional leaders. With all best wishes, Gareth Porter

Editor: Withdrawal from Iraq would plunge the entire world into terrorist attacks for years.  It would only postpone the inevitable war and result in bloodshed beyond anything this world has ever seen.  And, if the war were won by the terrorist, the entire world would be subjugated.   Mankind would live in a long period of oppression and ignorance that would make the Middle Ages look like a lovely spring afternoon instead of the Dark Ages it is known as today. The anti war activists deserve that world, but patriots who understand the situation and love freedom deserve to fight and win this war now.  Thank God for our troops who are trying to save the world from this unthinkable disaster. Editor: Subject: Re: Iraq Withdrawal, I do support your causes. My passion is to get all of America to read: "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. The number one issue is the invasion across the Mexican border. If we don't get a handle on illegal immigration, we will LOSE THIS WONDERFUL COUNTRY!! Thanks and Best Wishes in all your online activities. Nancy Toribio

Editor: Regarding your comment about the left in “Iraq Exit,” it's safe to say that if an international agreement were signed to outlaw "SLAY THE MESSENGER" arguments, the entire left wing movement would wither away. "Don't you dare talk about that" is their heart & soul. Albert Hanamay

Editor: It was nice to read in David Franke’s article that there are some good movies coming out of Hollywood that don't need to be censored. It's nice to know that they can still have some morals and set some positive role models/thoughts out for our country. Thanks for the update! Great job. Tara a conservative Virginian

Editor: In regard to your articles this issue on the nomination of Justice Roberts to the Supreme Court, there are so many 'partisan war chants' threatening the civility of the hearings; but this does not have to be. Courts use the 'Rules of Civil Procedure' to manage the court's time, conduct a civil and orderly procedure expeditiously. Arlen Specter is chairman and it is his duty to preside over committee hearings and its members. All requests for documents and other things should be a committee action, by motion, a second and a vote by members. This would put all members on record for all to see, shine the sunlight on the process. Each member should be allowed to OBJECT to any out-of-line off-point questioning and grandstanding, with an immediate ruling from the chair and sanctions for repeated violations. Chairman Specter, who calls himself a Republican, which is in doubt by many of us, has a duty to conduct a fair, civil, orderly and expeditious hearing. He and he alone should be held accountable. I am asking your influence as an organization to hold Chairman Specter accountable and to inform the public that he and he alone can move this process forward expeditiously, by using rules of civil procedure. IF ALL ELSE FAILS TURN THE CAMERS OFF! Hope you will consider my request. A grandmother from the rural South, Mississippi

Editor: Responsible Republican leaders need to stop talking about Iraq becoming a democratic country, because a true Democracy is run by the rule of the majority, which would mean the Sunnis should run the country.  I don't believe our government wants that, so they should be talking about a representative republic, which the US has.  Much of the public does not know the difference between a Democracy and a Representative Republic where the representatives are elected by a democratic process.  To not inform the public that we are not a Democracy and to talk about Iraq becoming a Democracy only confuses the issue.

On the subject of Separation of Church and State, Mr. Tabor is correct.  There is no such thing in the Constitution!!!  The word "separation" does not even appear.  To have allowed this lie to continue for so many years has lead to much confusion and thousands of bad laws and senseless lawsuits.  One of the most important of these is whether or not the Ten Commandments should or should not appear in court houses or schools.  These arguments have lead to a deterioration of our county's moral values.  Again, responsible Republican leaders should be talking about the lack on mention of separation of church and state in the Constitution in order to properly educate the public.

The Democrats and liberal media have for 40 years talked about separation like it really exits, so the public believes it is true and is confused by abusive lawsuits that groups like the ACLU set in motion with the goal of destroying the religious and moral base of this country.  Religious leaders and talk show hosts can only do so much in this regard.  True statesmanship is needed and is not seen very often.
