| More on McCain Deal
Editor: Conservatives need to really get after this Band of Brothers of 7 who destroyed our chances for a conservative judiciary. Either throw them out of the party or tell them we are going to have a vote and if you cant vote with us you are out of our caucus! If we work hard to get Republicans in power in Washington and they cannot do a thing for lack of leadership why work for Republicans? Where is George Bush in this problem? He is out wandering around the country with that Social Security thing and it makes him look like he is totally unable to lead conservatives anywhere! We need a third party The American Free Enterprise Party. Neither party in this country has enough sense to lead. They are all too busy passing Rules to add to their petty power in Washington and letting the Country go to the dumps. Shame on all of them! Lets throw the Rascals out. Sonny Davis.
Editor: So far as I am concerned, Senator McCain has shot him self in the foot--time after time after time. I know he wants to be President and is still irked that Bush beat him in the primaries. But this is one conservative that will never vote for him--regardless of how much he makes points with the media and the liberals. As for Senator Frist, he is a nice man but he has absolutely no leadership qualities--he is too weak to be Senate leader and now that he has decided not to run again, I think he just doesn't care. His interests are in the health issues and that's about it. He has given away all the gains it took Republicans 60 years to get. Bush will never get to name a Supreme Court Judge--it's pretty disgraceful. Anyone who has ever read the Constitution knows that filibusters are not a part of it--historically, they had been most used by Southerners to keep civil right laws from passing. The media is either ignorant or dishonest--both are unforgivable in their "supposedly" responsible positions. pmlewis@gci.net , Phyllis Lewis, Douglas Alaska
