Editor: Your whole ConservativeBattleline.com and ACU Foundation site looks great, and I've received a number of positive comments. Best wishes. Quin

Editor: Has the Vice President--who we thought was the strongest conservative voice in the administration--broken with George W. Bush and the Republican Party on a fundamental moral foundation of Western morality? Or is Dick Cheney's amazing statement at a town meeting in Davenport, Iowa that "people ought to be free to enter into any kind of a relationship they want to" a carefully-orchestrated feint to GOP "moderates" and independents, designed to present a "kinder, gentler" face of the administration to the electorate? Guess what, it does not matter which explanation is correct. This is just one more piece of evidence--to be added to the multi-trillion dollar deficit, the new $400 billion prescription drug entitlement, and the infuriating and incompetent exercise in "nation-building"--that there is no real conservative in the 2004 presidential race. The editor’s Battleline essay, "What Can Bush Do?" is dead on target--could not be improved. Sid Rose

Editor: You may have some facts in the article, "What Can Bush Do?" but you don’t seem to have much enthusiasm about the president and rubbed me the wrong way. Donald W. Bales

Editor: I am going to vote for Bush but there really are two lousy candidates as far as limiting government is concerned. Never fall in love with your candidate. Tim Sullivan

Editor: Since the Republicans have decided to not to emphasize the Big Four: Life, Guns, Immigration, and Family, in the Republican platform or the convention, we can look for a lot of people to not vote for president. This could cost Bush the election. Why are they doing this? Melanie

Editor: George Bush's campaign attacks reveal that (like his opponent) he has no vision. Also, the campaign to date reveals that his administration is adrift with no strategic objectives for the US economy, or the US role in the world. This stands in stark contrast to the Reagan Administration, which was guided by strong vision and grand strategy. The Bush campaign (to date) is too much like that of John Kerry; no leadership skills in evidence, and widespread distrust of the candidate (the recent elevated terror alert was dismissed by a majority of Americans as a political stunt). Bush has already lost the war on terror, despite his bureaucratic budget battle victories) Because he has positioned himself as another implementer of 'big government', and 'beltway banditry', George W. Bush has blurred any significant distinctions between himself and John Kerry. His re-election is terefore in considerable doubt. Brian Lynch

Editor: Regarding "Kerry Speech A Bust?" not only was the sweating annoying, the first thing I said when I sawhim on TV (actually the second thing, but the first thing is not printable) was "Does he have ants in his pants or what?" My wife and friend who were watching with me just laughed and accused me of being a partisan Republican, but the fact was that he was bouncing from foot to foot all through the speech (and not just shifting his weight; he looked like those poor baby ducks in the Marshall Fields display in Chicago where they put them on electrified plates and shocked them so they would keep moving around). The fact that Sharpton was one of the top speakers should be an embarrassment to the Democratic Party. Here's a man who should have been ridden out of town on a rail ages ago, and now he has managed to connive his way into legitimacy with the national Democrats. Incredible. Nick Andrelli

Editor: If John Kerry wishes to criticize or condemn the Swift Boat Vets, that is his right. Obviously, any person should be afforded the opportunity to answer and retort charges of the nature being made against Kerry. However, instead of refuting the charges made by over 200 Vietnam veterans who served with Kerry, including his entire chain of command, Kerry is trying to silence them. That is honestly scary. Is this what we can expect from a John Kerry Presidency? Does John Kerry consider himself above any other laws that we should know about? Hopefully, we will not have to find out. I do not know if the Swift Boat Vets are telling the truth. I do not know if their stated motivations and beliefs are genuine. But one thing I do know is that they have a right to say it. Justin Darr

Editor: Here is a new approach to deflate Kerry's "Lyin' Bubble Attack". Congratulate him for his service and then ask him " What have you done for this country since Viet Nam?" Let's start with what you did with the medals you earned and the 'War Crimes' that you confessed to before Congress, not to mention your utter disregard for your fellow GI's still behind in the war zone. Then we can discuss your years in the US Senate and all the weapon systems that you voted against and now you want to better arm them--let us just hear an answer. This is not a smear campaign, it is asking you to tell the truth by answering for your public actions documented in the Senate and Congressional records. This I feel would be a good positive approach to use and would make Kerry and his media types dig for a response that would justify his abject disdain for his fellow citizens. Gary Brubaker, Hollywood, FL

Editor: I love President Bush. He needs to get Senator McCain to tout his accomplishments. He needs Senator Dole to speak out more often and bring out why Kerry never thought it was important that Clinton wasn’t in the military. People didn’t think Dole's obvious injuries were a reason to vote for him; also, President Bush was already elected as a result of or in spite of his Military record. Why is Kerry afraid to speak about the last twenty years? Cami Lampert, Brookline, Mass.

Editor: It's very important for the GOP to tell exactly what the Dems are planning, i.e., abolish all recent tax cuts, increase all levels of income tax including tax on Social Security. Also, to reduce defense and national security funding. Reduce the military, to allow the U.N. to use and influence our courts and to rule as to when and where to deploy American troops and ships. They also plan to reduce the First and Second Amendments to the Constitution. In fact the GOP must make all Americans aware of their socialist plans. James C. Gravis, Houston, TX.

Editor: To What Bush Must Do To Win and ABC's of a Successful GOP Convention, please add "U.S. Constitution, Art IV, Sec. 4." Government must defend us against invasion by others. Jay Burchett

Editor: The Issue that more than 80% of Americans will vote for is the cessation of ILLEGAL immigration and the horrendous costs borne by the States for this insanity and threat to our Sovereignty. Mrs. Deibler

Editor: Recently, I came across one of the most ridiculously radical liberal websites that I have ever seen. What's more, the link that I found which led to this website was located as an advertising banner on the extremely popular Internet Movie Database (http://www.imdb.com/). The extremist-liberal website is http://www.retrovsmetro.org/ It consistently attacks religion and basic American values. The Internet Movie Database should be condemned for its partisan advertising when it is publicly a non-political company that exists strictly to focus on film. Nicholas Gausling
