Don’t kill the best medical system in the world
U.S. has best health care system in the world -- no rationing, no waiting in line, best and latest technology, best medicines, best techniques. Don’t risk it with government takeover. Do you want your health care delivered by the Post Office, the IRS or your local DMV?
Obama Care threatens your current doctor relationship
80% of Americans are satisfied with their health care/Dr relationship. Don’t risk a change. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Fix the part of it that is broke: rampant malpractice suits and fraudulent billings…..If we adopt a “public option”, a single payer, socialized medical system will be the inevitable result.
Obama Care will place a fatal debt burden on our kids and our grandkids
A Government controlled health care system will break the bank. Currently the congressional budget office calculates it will cost $1.6 Trillion over 10 years. But the cost of government programs are always understated and always increase dramatically. Consider:
- At the 1965 launch of Medicare, Part A was projected to cost $9 billion in 1990. Actual cost for that year was $67 Billion.
- In 1987 a special Medicaid hospital subsidy was supposed to cost $100 Million annually; but by 1992 it was already costing $11 Billion.
- In 1988 Medicare’s home care benefit was projected to cost $4 Billion, in 1993 it actually cost $10 Billion. (Source: Mike Tanner and Chris Edwards- CATO)
The hidden agenda of Obama Care: Rationing your health care.
The Obama administration has already proposed limiting hospital readmissions in order to save $350 Billion… and to ration the use of new procedures and technologies. This will be tantamount to Medicare “waterboarding” Canadians and others subject to rationing and long waiting lines come to the U.S. for life saving procedures. Where will we go if the U.S. adopts a Canadian system?
Health care “mandates” on small business would be job killers.
One “reform” being considered by Obama and the congressional liberals is to force employers to provide health insurance for all employees. Some businesses just can't afford that. The National Federation of Independent Business has estimated 1.5 million jobs would be lost on top of the 1.5 million that have been lost since Obama’s inauguration. This would be taking the country in the wrong direction: further tying health care to employment when portability of health care, in a mobile society such as ours, is the proper course for the future.
