Editor: The facts set out in your editorial “Treasury Thugs” are why every morning I feel like I'm waking up in a Banana Republic. Dick Haynes, Piqua, OH
Editor: Regarding your excellent editorial “Treasury Thugs,” the most extraordinary aspect of all to my eye was that, in addition to Secretary Hank Paulson, there were dozens of others involved in the putsch -- WH, Treasury, SEC, FED, FDIC -- almost all of them GOP appointees and almost all of them in full support of the Treasury takeover. Amazing. Even Wells Fargo saw competitive disadvantages in accepting the bailout so there wasn't much philosophical/ideological basis to the position. FN
Editor: “Treasury Thugs,” puts the government's involvement in our “economic recovery” in broad, clear, crisp perspective; much more so than anything I've seen on the subject. Excellent presentation. Rich Byman, Pompano Beach, FL
Editor: I am fed up with the government theft from industry outlined in your “Treasury Thugs.” I'm so fed up with House Speaker "what is in it for me" Pelosi that several of us are replacing our various swear words with "PELOSI". This single word replaces various swear words, i.e. BULL PELOSI, etc. You know what I mean. It's now become habit. Robert Boys, Brighton, MI
Editor: Regarding “Treasury Thugs,” please keep up your work of keeping the public informed about what really is going on. Sincerely, Nick Episcopia
Editor: So what can be done to stop this massive government take-over outlined in your editorial “Treasury Thugs”? All of the people involved should be impeached! Please find a way to let all American citizens know (which is hard to do with the press being in love with Obama) Candace Cooper
Editor: Regarding your editorial “Treasury Thugs,” the American people have no clue all this "under tow" is going on. They know something is going on but don't see all this on the news. What can the average "American citizen" do in light of this administration? We see all these horrible controlling things happening & feel helpless to change them. Brenda Gallaway
Editor: I really wish Governor Perry means what he said as reported in Bob Barr’s article “Federalism Revival.” I am all for it. The federal government is way out of line. State Rights !!!!!! Yeah. Sigrid Cohn
Editor: If Bob Barr ever has the chance, he should see the reaction of Geraldo Rivera to Governor Rick Perry's remarks. Geraldo was genuinely filled with anger, so much so that he could not find words to express himself. The "statists" of our society rightfully feel that individuals could not have earned their money without the government making it possible. Thanks for “Federalism Revival.” Robert Wolfe
Editor: In Bob Barr’s article “Federalism Revival,” Texas Governor Rick Perry is not off the mark on this one--secession. We daily get another dose of socialism whether we want the "medicine" or not from Washington. A very small minority is imposing the absolute desecration of the United States Constitution under the guises of some nonsense called "hope and change" for the betterment of this Federal Republic. The subversive forces who hate independence; sovereignty; the power of the individual to have a say-so in his or her destiny; life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness; and the shining example of freedom--they must be exuberant in what they have achieved. The pathway back to the core beliefs of the Founding Fathers grows narrower with each passing day. Jim Terry, Atlanta
Editor: I for one applaud Governor Perry's "s" word remark in Bob Barr’s “Federalism Revival.” "Federalism," one might comment, is also called "Classical Liberalism!" There's nothing extreme about it: it's American government as intended and made into law! You know, the Constitution which our government is sworn to uphold, and which does not allow for commandeering of free enterprise by the Executive Branch, for pity sakes... Judi Richie
Editor: Thank You Sir. I read Bob Barr’s article on “Federalism Revival” and was delighted to hear someone honestly speak out. It seems everyone is afraid of Washington and their mafia style tactics. I am a grandmother in Texas and feel we are being sold down the road to socialism. Each day that the sun rises on this great country brings me closer to this realism. I am afraid for my children and grandchildren and what lies ahead for them under the rule of Obama. I know I am not wrong in my gut feeling that this country is not going to be free much longer as this man is shoving his policies and beliefs on the American people at an unprecedented pace. Please continue to speak out for I fear my voice is not being heard. I helped get the first San Antonio, TX Tea Party together, of which only about 30 participated, but the 2nd one was awesome. The Alamo was surrounded by people who love their families, work hard, and believe in what God has graced us with, The United States of America. Obama laughed us off and we were ridiculed. His mistake is that he does not realize how deep and red our blood runs. God Bless You, Delores Newman
Editor: I loved Bob Barr’s article “Federalism Revival” about the Texas succession movement. Is there some hope on the horizon? I am a great believer in “power to the people” and Washington is going to be held responsible. I will support and attend every tea party I can find. Kathy Corelli, Daphene, AL
Editor: Regarding Bob Barr’s article “Federalism Revival,” I have said along since Obama was elected that if Texas left the union, that I would move back to Texas. I was born & grew up in the Texas panhandle & I am still a Texan at heart. I believe in our country & the values of our founding fathers. I do not like the way the country is going. I did not like Obama the first time I saw him. I stated then that he was not to be trusted. I just keep telling myself that God is still in charge and he will take care of it but we the people also have to take a stand and voice our opinions not just by & say "I can't do anything, no one would listen." England did not think we would do anything either in 1776 but we showed them!!!! Thank you. Karen Clour
Editor: Regarding Bob Barr’s “Federalism Revival,” I was proud of our Texas Governor, and hope he holds to a position that will help all Texans to be conservatives. Homer Bentley
Editor: My husband and I are citizens of North Carolina and have discussed moving to Texas as a possibility as it seems that it may be the first or only state to have the courage to stand up and be counted, as demonstrated in Bob Barr’s “Federalism Revival.” I believe you are also right in that many like-minded individuals will immigrate to Texas, people who are industrious, educated, independent and patriotic. People who love this country under God. Cate Beavis
Editor: I appreciated reading Bob Barr's commentary in “Federalism Revival.” If you are interested, I wrote a detailed analysis and commentary concerning Governor Perry's remarks on secession on my web site, www.johnoverlandjr.com ? If you would care to take a look, I'd be honored. The commentary consists of two parts and is entitled "The 'S" Word."? Thank you very much. John Overland
Editor: Thank you for the well thought out article by Brent Bozell titled “Ugly Beauty Contest.” It is his type of clear thinking and reasoning that is not welcomed in a large part of the "Tyranny of Relativism" ushered in by the current powers in Washington DC, the "entertainment" industry and in most of the media. It is OK for me to have my opinion and it is OK for you to have yours, AS LONG AS IT AGREES WITH MINE. The point the Mr. Bozell makes about the "star" status of people like "Perez Hilton" is right on target. We used to look up to people as heroes for doing the right what was right , moral and ethical. Our heroes today are people who cheat and lie to achieve their goals. Fred Heimann.
Editor: On the upside of Brent Bozell’s “Ugly Beauty Contest,” I think that there are more people looking at Perez Hilton's behavior and thinking he is a jerk with a big filthy mouth then not! Ms. Prejean, on the other hand, came out on top. The truth is, I don't know who actually won the USA Beauty Contest! More people are talking about Carrie Prejean rather then the USA Beauty Contest winner! She has been given so much air time to discuss her values! Which by the way are the values of most people in this country. I don't know anyone who thinks that Perez Hilton is anything but a vicious, hateful, pathetic jerk with a blog. Take away his blog and he is just pathetic. I think this was one for the good guys. God moves in mysterious ways. Rosemary Malone
Editor: Good for Brent Bozell in his “Ugly Beauty Contest.” You need to try to get this message in the hands of everyone who interviews Hilton asking what they gain by siding with such an potty mouth. I'm appalled at the media in the U.S.A.--totally without basic decency. RWH Pittsburgh
Editor: Regarding Brent Bozell’s “Ugly Beauty Contest,” it is a crying shame that one can not answer a question in truth and honesty and conviction with out drawing unholy criticism. Perez Hilton needs to get on his knees before GOD and plead for forgiveness before it becomes too late for HIS forgiveness. I hold very high regard for Carrie Prejean for her total honesty and conviction in her answer. By the way, great article--great journalism and reporting on behalf of the reporter of this article. Mr. Tom
Editor: Brent Bozell’s “Ugly Beauty Contest” about the USA pageant and Hilton was old news and he watered it down like a garden. I think he is a man of principles similar to mine and Carrie Prejean's, but your article is much like the main-stream media-overprotecting the "rights" of the vulgar, anti-Christ, degenerate ass…es like fatso Hilton. Yes, Sir. I call it as I see it from the old school. Gosh. Whoever wrote the "title" to your story gave it more punch than your words. If you want to show a little kindness toward Miss California, then do it! Don't be such a weasel in your article. I was a professional journalist many years ago. We actually wrote well-researched TRUTH and not a bunch of rhetorical hype and sensationalism like most of the "writers"-especially TV "reporters"---of today. You wrote the truth, but you sure didn't put yourself out any to DEFEND the truth that Miss Prejean stood for. Rather, you exploited the "success" of the sleazebag Hilton out there in Hollywood "never-never land." On a POSITIVE NOTE for you, Brent, I liked the way you wrote: "But how low are these pageants stooping for judges?" That's good. But why didn't you elaborate on THAT? Instead, you chose to say immediately that "Hilton is now an instant celebrity, interviewed on." the very-liberal IDIOT reporters on mainstream media. I don't even watch their news (NBC, ABC, CNN and CBS) anymore because it's so slanted toward the sleazebags of the world! Fox 4 at least presents an objective left-right view of the news and doesn't "dwell" on the trashy Hiltons of the world. C'mon, young man. Anytime you want to dialog with this ol' journalist, feel free to contact me. Writing is like riding a bike. Once you learn, it comes easy anytime you want to speak your piece. Best Regards, Bill Klozik
Editor: Why aren’t more people complaining about cap-and-trade as in Myron Ebell’s “Cap and Trade Is a Tax.” Costs will be passed to consumers as a tax. People shoud be screaming at Congress and President Obama for their schemes to make us all paupers. God help the USA Dorothy e. Nintzel, N.C.
Editor: Regarding Myron Ebell’s “Cap and Trade Is a Tax,” I am so sick and tired of these fools in Washington, from the President on down. They are a bunch of sick puppies. They care nothing about the people of the United States, and what we are going through. Energy prices are already too high. How in the world are we suppose to survive? I did not vote for Obama, because I knew he was in it for himself, all he wants is power. I will be surprised if he makes it four years, because you can only push the American people so far. Besides is he even a U.S. citizen? I still have not heard. Nina Cringan
Editor: I wish I had Jeffrey Folks’ confidence when he said: "When the reality sinks in that our country is in the hands of a socialist president and Congress, the American people will rise in disgust and cast aside those who have deceived them” in his "Obama Socialism" article. I used to believe this was a freedom loving nation of self reliant individuals, but after the election of Bill Clinton (twice) and the election of Obama, I have come to believe that a majority of Americans will vote for the politician who promises the most goodies from the Federal government. I will continue to vote against this trend, but I believe the character that made us the greatest nation in history has been lost. Sincerely, Martin E. Millburg
Editor: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, for Robert Higgs piece, "Jesus on Property.” For years I've argued the truth of biblical lessons put forth by God's Manifested word, Jesus Christ, and that the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitutional restrictions upon government were indeed inspired by Christ Himself. He spoke the words in parables and in instructions all written in scripture for the benefit of mankind. It's so painfully clear - that if you are continually 'given' material needs, you will neither appreciate nor care for them. Again - - - Thank you, thank you, thank you! Rose
Editor: The article "Obama Pays Unions" by Oscar Harward should be forwarded to Bill O’Reilly at Fox News as this is something the American Public should be aware of and they will not find out through any of the other news outlets. A. L. Grounds
Editor: In your Readers Comments letters to the editor, Penny Muckleroy asks what can she do because her congressman send her condescending letters telling her she doesn't see the big picture. Please tell her to keep pounding on them; to tell them they are the ones that are out of touch with the American Public and if they don't believe it, to take a poll within their area of representation. When they see there is a good chance they will not be re-elected, they will change their tune. Never lose the will to fight for what you believe. Albert Grounds
