Editor: Keep up the good work. It's very comforting to know that there are more
conservatives out there that share many of the same views. I just want you
to know that your great work is indeed enjoyed!

Dear Sir,

Couldn't fully agree more with your statement on the Microsoft verdict. The next big battle within Europe will be the open source folly and Intellectual Property Rights !

Editor: I have noticed something interesting about liberals. Liberals are all in favor of freedom of speech . . . until you say something they do not like to hear! Ken

Editor: Thank you for all you write and do. We must keep W. in the Whitehouse in 2004. Ralph

Editor: Bush is the only answer NOW and when I vote.

Editor: There is no way a conservative should vote for Kerry under any circumstances. A Kerry presidency would be as bad (or worse) than a Mondale or McGovern presidency would have been if either had been elected. Just listen to Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh if want to hear the reasons not to vote for Kerry. You would never find a liberal voting for Bush no matter how many issues he may disagree with Kerry on. Its a shame conservatives can't be as smart as liberals and avoid shooting themselves in the foot by voting for Kerry.

Editor: I've read some of your readers comments today that say they might vote Independent or as of right now won't vote for Bush. But I would like this one question answered, If Kerry becomes president who besides our party and Americans will be hurt most? Kerry is left of left in the Democratic Party. Oh I hear his promises about taking middle ground but unlike other people I find it hard to believe someone that has been anti-Republican for so long will do anything middle ground or to the right. Promises on the campaign trail are a joke the promises are just put there to get votes nothing else. You have the right to vote as you please but it will only hurt everything you believe in all your life to vote for Kerry just because Bush hasn't been the perfect conservative. I think he has done better then I could given what has been thrown in his face for the last four years, things no other president in history has had to contend with. There are things I don't agree with about Bush and conservatives but in this election my vote is only to Bush. He's not a good speaker but neither am I or a majority of Americans. But I'm sorry, after 8 years of watching Clinton love himself and come before the media looking as though he's thinking I love myself and the whole world loves me, I find Bush refreshing. But the next time one of my fellow conservatives think Bush should have done this or that and doubt him as your president just put yourself in his shoes one day and ask yourself if you could have done a better job or could anyone for that matter!! Editor: I just read the article concerning "Should Conservatives Vote for Bush" and was surprised and disappointed how little attention the immigration problem received. Each year, tens of billions of tax dollars are lost because of OUR government coddling the criminals who slip through our borders: to incarceration, welfare, healthcare, education, not to mention millions of dollars spent ensuring ALL government communications channels are "bi-lingual". Furthermore, there's the tens of billions of dollars sucked OUT of our economy and sent down to (mostly) Mexico by workers earning money here (illegally) then sending it back home.

This has been a very very serious issue in the border states of Arizona, New Mexico, California and Texas and it's slowly moving across the country. And the President should be doing something about it. Jennifer

Editor: Look, dear people - What the hell is going on here? Have I heard one thing out of your mouths about the "special (pork) projects", or the other spending, or the day-by-day erosion of morals/values in this country, or any attempt to mobilize the Right against any of this? Have I seen anyone creating a "hair-on-fire" furor about the Leftists' deceptive tactics on everything from campaign finance to election fraud to the memogate scandal regarding confirmation of conservative judges, to - my God! Ten thousand other violations of not only the spirit but also the letter of our law! No, I haven't noticed you creating the kind of furor that would be effective, and neither have I seen you make any attempt to "assault" (with words) the Leftist media we are somehow stuck with.

If you want CHANGE in this country, you have to RAISE ALL HELL to get people's attention. I want Social Security and Medicare reformed as much as anyone on earth, but if enough noise is not made to overcome the din of the Leftists, It will never get done. I want the enviro-wackos defeated as much as anyone, but until enough clout is developed, ON TELEVISION, to make more Americans take notice, it won't happen. We have to develop PEOPLE POWER, folks - and we have to reelect George W. Bush. Throw out George W. Bush and you also throw out some other fabulous people who work in his Administration. We're making progress - and that's always slow. This internecine warfare in the Republican (or Conservative) ranks stinks. We have to create a dialogue, an interchange of ideas, and bring the Paleos and the Neos and all the rest of the somehow-conservatives together, to get this country back on the right track. The circular firing squad just won't work.

Editor: I am a long time Republican and a staunch supporter of President Bush. I just read your article on whether conservatives should support him. You omitted the fact that no one can be sure what Kerry will do if he ever gets in office, because the only thing he is consistent about is inconsistency, except in voting liberal (which of course he didn't want to do before he did it). You also neglected to mention that once in a second term, President Bush will find it much easier to veto pork spending. Kerry would come into office in a first term and owe and owe and owe, and that adds up to nothing but pork. Certainly Medicare and Social Security are major problems, and to fix these it will take a courageous stand. Alan Greenspan has proposed the solution, but it certainly is not politically possible in an election year. After re-election it should be possible, and people with two or more retirement incomes should be the target while leaving the poorest recipients alone. I for one have no problem taking a 20% cut in social security, or even a bit more, if there is no other way.

Editor: I do not understand how you can even think that Kerry will fight a war on terrorism the way it should be fought. He has already said that it should be a matter of law enforcement, the very problem that caused 9-11. His vote for the Patriot Act only showed that he cannot be trusted if he is now talking about fighting terrorism with words and laws. The ONLY way to fight terrorists is to go kill or capture them. So far there is no evidence I have seen that the Patriot Act has caused privacy violations with the possible exception of a racketeer where it may have been stretched a bit. I personally consider gangsters no better than terrorists.

Overall, I cannot see Kerry winning on any issue you described, simply because he lies (I don't like the word nuances).

Editor: How many of you can see what I see in the way the Bush administration is treating our military? First they cut millions from the Veteran's benefits. They are charging room and board from our wounded veterans in the military hospitals. They are, now, with holding the paychecks from our active military, or delaying them so the families cannot pay their rent, or other bills. It looks to me that they are trying to discourage them from reenlisting so we will have a shortage of military so we cannot resist when the "godless, communist organization, called the United Nations" comes here to make us slaves! If any one of you can think of any other reasons why they would do things, please let me know.
Horace
